Board of Directors
Comprised of approximately 25 leaders from around the world, a Board of Directors is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of the Society. Nominations, including self-nominations, are open to members.

Committees
ISSCR initiatives are led by ten committees, each with a unique mandate to address evolving needs of the stem cell community. Each year, the ISSCR invites members to express interest in committee involvement.

Early Career Editorial Board
Stem Cell Report’s Early Career Editorial Board (ECEB) advises on journal content and programming, receives mentoring from associate editors, attends annual editorial meetings, and serves as ambassadors for the journal.
Applications for new members will open in July 2025.

Science Policy Fellowship Program
Goldstein Science Policy Fellows serve a three-year term, gaining firsthand policy and regulatory experience. They serve as ex-officio members of the Public Policy Committee, are invited to attend advocacy days, undertake self-directed initiatives, have opportunities to speak at ISSCR programs, and receive mentorship from a Policy Committee member.

Stem Cell Biology Syllabus and Learning Guide
Developed to assist instructors teaching stem cell biology at the undergraduate or graduate level, these eight modules cover key topics in stem cell biology. Each module includes learning objectives, core concepts, a bibliography of primary and secondary literature, and annotated foundational papers.

Translations
The ISSCR aims to translate all guidelines, standards, and reference materials into all major languages. Volunteer to help translate an ISSCR document into your native language.

Review Abstracts
Each year, the ISSCR receives thousands of abstracts for consideration for poster or oral speaking opportunities at ISSCR meetings – each are reviewed by ISSCR members with specific expertise.

Science Communications
The ISSCR produces materials for the public and patients seeking information about stem cell research and treatments. Volunteer to contribute to our public education website, AboutStemCells.org.

The ISSCR invites Student and Postdoc members to organize Science Spotlight sessions for the Annual Meeting or as a webinar.
