Program Description: Pluripotent stem cell-derived cell therapies are accelerating rapidly into clinical trials. The ISSCR, in partnership with Novo Nordisk, is pleased to invite you to Copenhagen, Denmark in October 2024 for an event that will gather pioneers at the forefront of ESC and iPSC-derived cell therapies. Here, world-renowned scientists and innovators will share the latest updates on ongoing clinical trials, as well as groundbreaking platforms and technologies that will revolutionize the next generation of cell therapies for devastating and intractable diseases.

Countries identified by the World Bank as "low- and low-middle income countries"

Cancellation & Refund Deadline: 4 September 2024

  • Cancellation & Refund Deadline: 4 September 2024

    To cancel your registration, a written request must be submitted to isscr@isscr.org before the deadline. Registration fees will be refunded minus a $150.00 USD cancellation fee. No refunds will be granted after 4 September 2024.

    If the 2024 Copenhagen International Symposium transitions to a fully virtual event, in-person registration will automatically be transferred to a virtual registration and the price difference will be refunded based on the time of registration. Should a registrant choose not to attend the fully virtual event, the registrant is eligible to request a full refund of the registration by providing a written request to isscr@isscr.orgby 4 September 2024. After that time, all previously stated cancellation policies will apply.

    If the event is transferred to a virtual event or cancelled in its entirety, ISSCR's responsibility is limited to only the registration fees paid. ISSCR is not responsible for other expenses incurred such as airfare and hotel accommodations.

For Danish hospital-employed HCPs: Registration can take place according to the applicable regional agreement. Registration is conditional on the management having made a decision on participation, including which employees will participate in the activity.

 The event has been/will be reported to ENLI prior to the event and complies in the organisers’ opinion with the applicable rules, even if the event has not been pre-approved by ENLI.

  • Thursday, 15 August 4:00 PM EDT (USA)  | Oral and Poster Presentation notifications will be sent.

  • Tuesday, 20 August 4:00 PM EDT (USA) | Abstract-selected oral and poster presenters MUST REGISTER and accept for “in-person” attendance.  If you do not register by the deadline, your abstract will be removed from the program.

  • Tuesday, 20 August 4:00 PM EDT (USA)  | Any changes to the abstract's presenting author need to be submitted by this date. The new presenter must be a co-author on the submitted abstract and must be a registered attendee.

  • Friday, 30 August 4:00 PM EDT (USA) | Poster numbers will be sent to registered poster presenters.

Abstract Submission Details

  • Oral submissions will be considered for a ten (10) minute presentation  during a session. 

  • Posters will be displayed in person in the poster area for one assigned day.

  • There is a non-refundable $45.00 USD abstract submission fee for each abstract submitted.  This is NOT the meeting registration fee. All presenters must be registered for the meeting.

Attendees can fly into Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup (airport code: CPH). The Black Diamond – Royal Danish Library is approximately 8.25 miles (13.3 kilometers) from Copenhagen Airport, which is an estimated 15-minute drive (33 minutes by public transportation). Taxi fares can vary 250-350 DKK ($36.00 - $50.00 USD), depending on the traffic. Fares are estimated and are subject to change.
