Part 1 The Directed Maturation of Organoid Cultures

11 April 2023 | 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. EDT

A now well-recognized challenge of organoid technologies is the often embryonic or fetal-like immature nature of cell types that populate them. This session will explore the latest research engineering more mature and complex organoids, the long-term culture of organoids and expansion of cell types, and deriving lessons from in utero development to improve the fidelity of organoid models in vitro.

Featuring a 5-Minute Innovation Showcase presented by STEMCELL Technologies, Inc.

Part 2 Increasing the Cellular Complexity of Organoid Models

18 April 2023 | 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. EDT

Tissues and organs in the human body are complex heterogeneous mixtures of multiple cell types that coordinate their activities to regulate organ function. This session features presentations by scientists developing next generation organoids composed of diverse cell types, that can even include interactions across tissue types, to more accurately reflect cellular and physiological complexity and functions found in vivo.

Part 3 Improving the Structure and Architecture of Organoids

25 April 2023 | 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. EDT

Whether at the molecular, cellular, or organ scale, form often follows function. Join us for session three of this next generation organoids digital series as we explore the latest developments in forming organoids with more complex structures, architectures, and organization that more accurately reflect in vivo organ physiology, biology, and function.

Part 4 The Bioengineering of Organoids – What’s Next?

2 May 2023 | 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. EDT

The concluding session in this series will focus on the frontier of engineering organoids and where the field is headed. The first part of the session will feature presentations of cutting-edge bioengineering approaches to improve organoid models and design, followed by a comprehensive discussion panel of organoid pioneers sharing their perspectives on what the future may hold for organoid research and its potential applications.
