Join Me in Boston and Share Your Research at ISSCR 2023
Abstracts opened last week for the ISSCR Annual Meeting to be held in June 14-17, 2023 in Boston. There is no better venue to share your latest work, meet potential collaborators, and learn from our global community of stem cell researchers.
Boston is often described as a center of the nation's biotechnology industry. It is easy to see why. The greater Boson area is home to more than 1,000 biotechnology companies, ranging from start-ups to billion-dollar corporations. Combined with a renowned academic community and leading research hospitals, it is an outstanding city to host our growing, global stem cell research and regenerative medicine community.
Not only is Boston a terrific choice for ISSCR 2023, Program Chair David Scaddan, Harvard Stem Cell Institute, USA, and the entire program committee has designed a truly exceptional program that includes ample opportunities to present your research – more than 100 abstract – selected speaking opportunities. Plus, five new Science Spotlight sessions that I announced previously, giving you the opportunity to design your own session at the 2023 Annual Meeting. And we are pleased to once again offer travel and merit awards for scientists who submit abstracts before 8 February 2023.
I invite you to review the concurrent sessions and the invited speakers you might share the stage with this June in one of the four sessions in each of the five scientific tracks.
This year, we are especially pleased to announce a new track on Ethics, Policy, and Standards that will feature one session in each of these topics. Organizers for this new track will also select speakers from submitted abstracts, opening up even more presentation opportunities and allowing you to learn more about these important topics, such as the role of ethics in public engagement on the 14-day rule and global policy. The Standards session will discuss new recommendations comprising the ISSCR’s Standards for Human Stem Cell Use in Research, that are intended to improve rigor and reproducibility in our field.
